AH Eyes Lips Face, AKA ELF Cosmetics. This morning I was privileged to receive and email from the CEO Joseph Shamah which had the following message for me (and other customers I surmise):
Dear Valued Customer,
I wanted to take a minute to give you an update on your recent e.l.f. order.
Due to overwhelming demand for e.l.f. Cosmetics we may be a few days late on shipping your order. While we are excited that so many people are anxious to get their makeup for the holidays, we apologize that your order is taking us a little longer than usual to ship.
I want you to know that we have taken measures to increase our fulfillment capacity. Our staff is working around the clock to get your order shipped in time for the holidays.
We appreciate your business and your understanding. Please stay tuned for further updates and/or your shipping confirmation email.
Happy Holidays and Best Wishes,
Joseph Shamah
CEO
e.l.f. Cosmetics
Now let me explain my position. This problem has been happening for a very long time and if you are a follower of ELF's message boards you will notice this has been an ongoing problem with this company. Hire more employees as you brag about how you are now in magazines about how great you products are (and yes, I too love them) and how you have sent out your millionth order not long ago. I don't understand the problem. Well maybe I do. They have this little issue with Fedex and the post office. They ship through Fedex and then somewhere our orders are handed over to the post office and delivered to us at their convenience. The problem might be our faults with their constant ad gimmickry of "free shipping". This free shipping is only $6.95 to them no big deal. If you pay an extra $10 or more you can get it sooner. Not this time folks.
What is the big deal you say? I live in the desert so my shopping is by online purchasing. They have their product at Target but not ALL their products. I know this as my daughter comes to my home to borrow what she cannot find.
I buy from other cosmetic companies and am in awe at how quickly my order arrives via the same postage. I am even in awe at drugstores which carry the lower end cosmetics who get it to me in a timely manner. ELF, stop all this constant publicity of free shipping or 50% off certain products or $5.00 coupons to the first 25 people who comment on crap you blog about until you get my order to me which, by the way, still hasn't been processed and was ordered two weeks ago! I get more email from their daily advertising of a new publicity stunt that is too good to be true! So what is that saying? Oh, yes, "if it's too good to be true, it usually is". Go ahead an order from them and get your 50% off their Studio Line and get your free S&H but beware- it will come but I wouldn't hold my breathe or run to your computer and check to see if it was sent out!
