A NEW LOOK ON LIFE

I have learned a lot lately. Not just about makeup. I started this blog about  makeup but have decided it's about people and makeup and what people will do and won't do to make it in this world being it's either on  a realty show or a blog for freebies! Not me. It's brutal truth time folks. So maybe I have only one follower but one is better than none.

Where oh Where has this Little gal gone?

Okay here I am your Besame Cosmetic fan. I just came across this person who decided based on samles that she isn't a Besame fan! She is young. But how does one base a decision on samples? I noticed she loves companies who send her full size products. BITCH! She didn't even get half of the Besame products right. Example, she called the Sweetheart Balm a lipstick!

I tried to be understanding. I ended up telling her off and blocking her on my FB, You Tube and Twitter. That's all for now

Back tomorrow.

P.  A million Kisses to you all!

ELF's New Makeup Line

I know I haven't blogged in awhile but the holidays have kept me busy and I am lazy as well. But I do want to talk about ELF's (Eyes Lips Face) new makeup line. I finally have two of their new liquid foundations which are named "Flawless Finish Foundation" and after many weeks of waiting ( their shipping is another story) I have found that I love them. They don't clog my pores or make me sweat after running around or if I have been in a hot kitchen cooking away I find I have no need to touch up! That's a first for any makeup. I was surprised because I have EVERY liquid, mineral, powder, tint, foundation from just about every line from low end to high end. It works better with their primer as it can go on smooth or just use a moisturizer underneath. I was really surprised because for $6.00 even Revlon or L'Oreal couldn't cut the mustard for me. The colors on their website are pretty close. I chose Caramel and Buff. It doesn't hurt to have a variety of colors as your skin changes colors with the seasons anyway. I am thinking about getting Sand next. Oh and the SPF is 15.

Next was the new line pressed powder which I was also happy about. I like it a lot it reminds me of Estee Lauders pressed powders because you can wet the sponge and apply it wet or dry. Wet would be for a heavier coverage and dry for light. These are $3.00 a piece and you are getting a great deal. They are comparable to the high end makeup lines. The colors on the website are very close as well. Kudos to ELF.

The new lipstick line sells for $1.00 and they are a bit dry but just put some kind of lip balm first or wet your lips and you are good to go. I got all the colors because it only cost me $6.00. The colors are pretty and I wear them everyday. I love the variety as well. I am a lipstick nut so other than the fact they are a bit dry I recommend them. I will do some swatches if you want but head on over to the website and the colors are pretty accurate also.

Well my fellow makeup addicts that is it for today. I have some more makeup coming in this Friday and will blog about that. Take care and Happy Holidays!

ELF and their Shipping Complaints

AH Eyes Lips Face, AKA ELF Cosmetics. This morning I was privileged to receive and email from the CEO Joseph Shamah which had the following message for me (and other customers I surmise):

 Dear Valued Customer,

I wanted to take a minute to give you an update on your recent e.l.f. order.

Due to overwhelming demand for e.l.f. Cosmetics we may be a few days late on shipping your order. While we are excited that so many people are anxious to get their makeup for the holidays, we apologize that your order is taking us a little longer than usual to ship.

I want you to know that we have taken measures to increase our fulfillment capacity. Our staff is working around the clock to get your order shipped in time for the holidays.

We appreciate your business and your understanding. Please stay tuned for further updates and/or your shipping confirmation email.

Happy Holidays and Best Wishes,

Joseph Shamah
CEO
e.l.f. Cosmetics

Now let me explain my position. This problem has been happening for a very  long time and if you are a follower of ELF's message boards you will notice this has been an ongoing problem with this company. Hire more employees as you brag about how you are now in magazines about how great you products are (and yes, I too love them) and how you have sent out your millionth order not long ago. I don't understand the problem. Well maybe I do. They have this little issue with Fedex and the post office. They ship through Fedex and then somewhere our orders are handed over to the post office and  delivered to us at their convenience. The problem might be our faults with their constant ad gimmickry of "free shipping". This free shipping is only $6.95 to them no big deal. If you pay an extra $10 or more you can get it sooner. Not this time folks.

What is the big deal you say? I live in the desert so my shopping is by online purchasing. They have their product at Target but not ALL their products. I know this as my daughter comes to my home to borrow what she cannot find.

I buy from other cosmetic companies and am in awe at how quickly my order arrives via the same postage. I am even in awe at drugstores which carry the lower end cosmetics who get it to me in a timely manner. ELF, stop all this constant publicity of free shipping or 50% off  certain products or $5.00 coupons to the first 25 people who comment on crap you blog about until you get my order to me which, by the way, still hasn't been processed and was ordered two weeks ago!  I get more email from their daily advertising of a new publicity stunt that is too good to be true! So what is that saying?  Oh, yes, "if it's too good to be true, it usually is". Go ahead an order from them and get your 50% off  their Studio Line and get your free S&H but beware- it will come but I wouldn't hold my breathe or run to your computer and check to see if it was sent out!
